Curl hair wiht blow dryer?

When using a blow dryer to curl your hair, it doesnt exactly 'curl' it, it just add waves and flicks.

When drying your hair, add a handful of volume mousse.

Start by slightly drying your hair without any brushes, once it is quite dry, start rolling the brush around a piece of your hair whilst holding the blow dryer on it.

Spray with gel spray and this should add a flick/ curl to your hair. Repeat this around your hair and your hair will be full of volume!

Is it unconventional to hit a child with a hair dryer?

yes... the only appropriate thing to hit a child with is a stick that's width is smaller than your thumb... and also wooden spoons with holes cut into them (so they slice through the air better)...

Is it unconventional to hit a child with a hair dryer?

oh yea,try a chair

Is it unconventional to hit a child with a hair dryer?

Errrr, I sorta think it's unconventional to hit a child, period.

Is it unconventional to hit a child with a hair dryer?

Never do that.

Is it unconventional to hit a child with a hair dryer?

Yes, for this purpose mostly scales are preferred.

BUT ONE SHOULD NEVER BEAT A CHILD.

Yes, very original and out of the common.

Is it unconventional to hit a child with a hair dryer?

Why would you even want to hit a child?

Is it unconventional to hit a child with a hair dryer?

some more conventional choices would include a stick, the wooden spoon, a folding chair (wrestling families) and other children

Yes, you should only use the curling iron. Seriously, yes it is unconventional. Spanking I believe in, but not abuse. People who do not spank their children are only serving to further a world of disrespect and perpetuate "It's not my fault" society.

Is it unconventional to hit a child with a hair dryer?

most of you are reading all the wrong stuff.a child must be punished sometimes.to let them know that was wrong.just don't get carried away.most of the time a tap or 2 is that is needed.don't get carried away.that is the biggest problem in today's child raising.don't spank the child.spare the rod, spoil the child.

Is it possible to reseal shrink wrap with a hair dryer?

I bought an expensive book, then found it way cheaper online. I needed to open the shrink wrap to read for an assignment...but I also want full refund. I was very careful with the shrink wrap and still have it. Is there a way to reseal it??

Is it possible to reseal shrink wrap with a hair dryer?

Unfortunately, it is not possible to reseal your item using the original shrink wrap. However, your local crafts store or mass merchandiser with a crafts department may carry specialised shrink wrap that can be used with an ordinary hair dryer.

I have seen and used bag-style "hair dryer" shrink wrap in small, medium, and large sizes ranging from $2 to $5. These wraps also come in rolls for about $6.

The only draw back to utilising this method over the commercial shrink wrapping system, which costs quite a bit, is "hair dryer" shrink wrap may not be as thick as your original shrink wrap you're attempting to replace.

I hope this information helps.

Is it possible to reseal shrink wrap with a hair dryer?

That's terrific! Do you know if this service is available at all Home Depots or just your local one? Report It

Is it possible to reseal shrink wrap with a hair dryer?

You'd have to get more shrink wrap and re-package it. With shrink-wrap, once it's heated, that's it. Can you borrow someone else's book for this assignment, and return the book intact?

Is it possible to reseal shrink wrap with a hair dryer?

um i don't think you can unless there is some way you can melt it together but make it unnoticable. you couldbuy a shrink wrap machine but you would be better of keeping the book fo that price. a machine would cost about $200-$500

What converter do I need to use my hair dryer in South Korea?

I'll be traveling in South Korea for a month on business...if it were a trip for pleasure I'd leave the locks au naturale, but for business I need to do the 'do. No luck web searching for what I'll need in order to not fry my little travel hairdryer....any ideas? Thanks!

What converter do I need to use my hair dryer in South Korea?

Korea runs on 220v 50 cycles while the U.S. runs on 110v 60 cycles. You will need a voltage converter (110v to 220v) that can handle probably at least 2000 watts as most hair dryers have very high wattage requirements. As a rule of thumb, when you are purchasing a voltage converter, make sure that the wattage rating of the converter is higher than the device(s) you will be plugging into the converter to avoid damage to your device as well as to the electrical system.

Most hotels in Korea have hairdryers for your use. I'd keep mine at home and use the hotel's if I were you.. Or just purchase a cheap dryer in Korea. Considering the high wattage, the converter will probably cost just as much as the dryer anyway.

Good luck and have a great time in Korea!

What converter do I need to use my hair dryer in South Korea?

The run the same current as in the USA

What converter do I need to use my hair dryer in South Korea?

ok, heres the serious answer. Korea has different kind of power points. theirs has two holes instead of three. You can get an adapter that connects into the power cord of the hairdryer and will plug straight into korean power points in korea. You should be able to find this in a Korean grocery, or supermarket in your area, or in the airport at Incheon when you arrive in KOrea. It will be easy to find one anyway.

What converter do I need to use my hair dryer in South Korea?

Merci is right.

I fried my American hairdryer trying to use a normal adapter. Then i put in 30 bucks to buy a bulky 10 pound converter and it screwed up my straightener.

The cheapest and easiest way is to just buy a hairdryer here in Korea.

By the way, you need one of those bulky converters for your laptop or else you will fry your laptop battery.

What converter do I need to use my hair dryer in South Korea?

Take what Merci told you, I know it is true and go to Radio Shack, they have converters that are not too expensive and are small eought to carry. Last summer I ordered 2 on line and they worked find all summer in Korea. If you have time it is cheaper to order these on line. Here is an example

http://www.studica.com/products/product_...

or

http://www.dvdoverseas.com/voltage_conve...

What converter do I need to use my hair dryer in South Korea?

What Merci said regarding the hair dryer, just buy one there, but laptops are not the same case. Most newish laptops can handle voltage ranging from 100-240. Just look on the block in the middle of your cord. I used my USA laptop in Korea every day for an entire year. You will need a plug adapter, though.

What converter do I need to use my hair dryer in South Korea?

You know you can buy hair dryers here for about $10. Why waste all that money on a converter. Just go to the local shop ,there are plenty around, and buy one. When you're finished throw it away. It is the simplest and cheapest option available.

I want to make a wall hook for my hair dryer, so that i can have both hands free when i dry my hair.

i'd like to use stuff i have around the house to make it.

any ideas appreciated.

hint: i use a rock for my hammer, so nothing complex please

I want to make a wall hook for my hair dryer, so that i can have both hands free when i dry my hair.?

You may have luck finding the old cap hair dryers at a thrift store if not new because it may even be easier for you. The blow dryers bother me too because of nerve damage my arm gets heavy and the vibration of it is very irritating or painful.

I want to make a wall hook for my hair dryer, so that i can have both hands free when i dry my hair.?

Just use a metal coat hanger as it is easy to bend and manuver to the shape you require. You could even spray paint it to be more decorative and hot glue items on it so it doesn't look like a coat hanger.

Is it ok to dry a cat with a hair dryer?

every time i give my cat a bath she shakes and shivers. what do i do?

Is it ok to dry a cat with a hair dryer?

If you use it on the cold setting it should be fine as long as she's not scared of it.

You can alternate between the lowest warm setting and cold to speed it up but make sure you do the warm in short bursts so as not to burn her.

Alternatively, stroke her with a towel on your hands :)

Is it ok to dry a cat with a hair dryer?

It Should Be Fine Just As Long As It Doesn't Scare Your Cat Or Get To Hot.

Is it ok to dry a cat with a hair dryer?

i think its ok...i used to dry my cat with a hairdryer. your cat probably shakes and shivers because she is cold. my cat did that too. just dont hold the hairdryer too close to her and make sure that it isn't so hot that it could burn her.

Is it ok to dry a cat with a hair dryer?

I have blown dry my cat before. Nina is her name and she jumped into some blue paint when I was in the process of painting my office, I had to give her a bath. Anyway, use it on LOW because you could burn her skin. Also it is very important that you dry her all the way because she could catch a cold.

Is it ok to dry a cat with a hair dryer?

you could try a hair dryer, but ive never met a cat that would let it happen.. my cat shakes and shivers like this too.. makes me feel so guilty.. so i just swaddle her in a towel and hold her for a few minutes.. she warms up and relaxes after the shock of the bath and when she's ready to get out and walk around she lets me know.. but for 5 or 10 minutes she really enjoys just laying in my arms all warm and swaddled up, maybe you could try that :D good luck!

Is it ok to dry a cat with a hair dryer?

Well, First off, there's really no reason why you should have to give your cat a bath, unless they are going outside getting dirty, which if the cat is going outside, thats not a good thing Or if the cat has a skin condition such as dermatitis.

You can use a hair dryer on a cat, but it must not be held close to the cat, the heat setting should be on low or medium, and the air flow should be set to low.

This may stress the cat out further, as many animals are afraid of loud machine sounds, and the air blowing may scare the cat also.

My advice, stop bathing the cat. Cats are extremely clean and are completely capable of washing themselves.

Here's a couple of links that may be helpful for you:

Is it ok to dry a cat with a hair dryer?

I use one on my cat, low setting, far from the furr to keep from burning her. It takes time to convince them you are not KILLING them with the dryer! They do get used to it.

Is it ok to dry a cat with a hair dryer?

I think its okay. Just make sure that it doesn't scare you cat.

Is it ok to dry a cat with a hair dryer?

It is not ok to dry a cat with a hair dryer, use a cotton towel and pat the cat dry.

Is it ok to dry a cat with a hair dryer?

If you can get the cat to hold still, you're a better woman than I am.

Towel dry her first, keep it on the low setting, and at least a foot away, and she should be fine!

Is it ok to dry a cat with a hair dryer?

it's fine to use the hair dryer.. just make sure it's on low and a cooler setting.. and don't hold it too close..

however if your cat is uncomfortable with the noise or blowing i wouldn't continue to use it..

my cat is terrified by the hair dryer but my dog loves it.. so for my cat i just dry her with a towel very well and she sometimes likes to stay wrapped up in it for a bit and cuddle..

Is it ok to dry a cat with a hair dryer?

I'm in agreement with the folks who say, yes you can, but be very careful with the heat, and how scared the cat is of the noise, and don't give the cat a bath too often as it can dry out their skin.

I'm allergic to the kitty that adopted me (she showed up under the shed one Sat.morning). I sometimes give her baths in the late fall/winter/early spring as the dander (actually Fel d1) in a closed house can set my system off despite all the other things I do to minimize the problem. The benefit of the bath doesn't last long, but it gives me a chance to recover a bit.

After I towel her dry and use the hair dryer for as long as she'll tolerate it (not long), I turn up the heat in the house and let her stretch out on a register on the floor with a warm dry towel around her. The warmth from the forced hot air system dries her out quickly. The cat gave me the idea for this as she likes to sprawl on the register when the heat's on in the winter.

One benefit of getting the cat used to a bath is in case of an emergency (one of my neighbor's cats was sprayed by a skunk) it's less of a traumatic event for the kitty and you.

Is it ok to dry a cat with a hair dryer?

The volume of the hair dryer is very hard on their ears and most cats hate it. They'd rather be toweled dry with a towel, most will purr for that.

Remember their hearing is so much better than ours, we wouldn't try to sit next to a jackhammer working on the street, it's physically painful to the ears. This is what the hair dryer does to cats.

How do I properly dispose of an old hair dryer?

should I throw it away in the trash or can it be recycled?

How do I properly dispose of an old hair dryer?

your hairdryer can be recycled!! or you could just throw it away if you want. Its up to you

How do I properly dispose of an old hair dryer?

If it still works it can be donated. There are safety risks to just throwing it away. If you know someone who is a real handyman, that person may be able to use some of the parts, but otherwise, just pitch it.

How do I properly dispose of an old hair dryer?

I doubt i can b recycled. too many different materials. Unless you want to take it apart

How do I properly dispose of an old hair dryer?

The copper wire is all that is worth anything. Give it to someone for that purpose.

What does the ion switch on my hair dryer mean?

The package says it's supposed to dry your hair faster than with it switched off.

Eh, I just leave it on, it doesn't hurt.

It doesn't put out cold air.

What does the ion switch on my hair dryer mean?

I believe an ion switch is when the blow dryer blows cool air. After blow drying normally, hit the ion switch and the cool air will close down the cuticle in your hair and your hair will be a lot softer.

My bedroom electricity went out while using hair dryer. Other parts of house ok. What gives?

I already reset the circuit breaker.

My bedroom electricity went out while using hair dryer. Other parts of house ok. What gives?

Did you shut the hair dryer off??? if you left the dryer on, it could be tripping the breaker every time you reset the breaker.

My bedroom electricity went out while using hair dryer. Other parts of house ok. What gives?

you may have other things connected at the same time ,hairdryers use a lot of power

My bedroom electricity went out while using hair dryer. Other parts of house ok. What gives?

You might want to check for a short. Also, check your hair dryer and make sure there is no trouble there. A few months ago I had trouble with the electricity in the kitchen when the microwave was starting to go bad.

Good luck!

My bedroom electricity went out while using hair dryer. Other parts of house ok. What gives?

You have a GFCI breaker in the loop. It is an outlet usually with a button or two in the center. It may not be in the bathroom you are using. It could be in the kitchen or garage. Once you find it, one button should be marked "RESET". Push it in and see if the outlet is working.

Also, it may be the hair dryer was on too long and the safety kicked on. Try plugging something else in to the outlet and see if it works.

If these don't work, you may have burned out the outlet itself. You would need to replace the outlet.

My bedroom electricity went out while using hair dryer. Other parts of house ok. What gives?

Check gfci plugs . one should have a reset button . could be any where inside or out

My bedroom electricity went out while using hair dryer. Other parts of house ok. What gives?

Are you asking why the rest of the house is ok? Or are you saying that the bedroom is still out, even though you reset the breaker? You might have tripped the GFI breaker on the outlet. You can press reset, and everything should come back on. It sucks that just a hair dryer would trip a breaker. Are you sure you didn't have a curling iron plugged in, too? And maybe a whole lot of other stuff???

My bedroom electricity went out while using hair dryer. Other parts of house ok. What gives?

You may have too meny other electrical items on the same circut or commonly refered to a GFI over load area. If not then there maybe falty Breaker or fuse. Then the wire also may have a short in your dryer, switch or wire. Then again if you may have out door Seasonal Christmas Lights on at the same time you are trying to use your hair blower or dryer. Then this has caused outages also. Then if some one maybe using other plug-in

electrical applance the same time you use the dryer may have ,caused too meny amps on your circut. Then causing the over load to the circut. I install Seasonal Christmas Lights out doors. However my first two years doing this I had several customers that experence similar problems. This is when Lights just came on by a timer and then at the same time . A person was using dryer in two different bathrooms, plus a microwave oven on,plus a Big Screen TV. At these items where on the same circut made for no more then 14 amps . The amps being put out on this system where actually close to 18 amps. This is why I had to seperate the plugged in lites to different part of plugs.

To get the Lites working without blowing circuts and breakers.

So good Luck in your case: Merry Christmas. Plus if all else fails call a License Electral Electricians Contractor that can help with puting a Meggar, or olms meter check on your system.

My bedroom electricity went out while using hair dryer. Other parts of house ok. What gives?

Loss of electricity while using a hair dryer is due to a tripped circuit breaker nearly 100% of the time.

If you have a GFI type outlet (you can tell because it has a RESET button on it), then simply push the reset button as others have suggested. If you don't have a GFI outlet, then double check that you have indeed reset the circuit breaker in your main panel.

It's easy to think you have reset the main panel circuit breaker when in fact you have not. You must flip the circuit breaker to the "OFF" position first, and then back to the "ON" position to reset it. If you just try to push it to the "ON" position, it will NOT be reset. I have made this mistake myself.

My bedroom electricity went out while using hair dryer. Other parts of house ok. What gives?

You can turn your breacker back off and make sure that the wire going into the breaker is tight. Next check your outlet that your dryer was plugged into. It may be shorted. Make sure the wires are tight on the back side of it and make sure that the ground wire is not touching the hot wire or the connection on the back of the outlet. I have seen this many times. You will See a burn mark on your ground wire where it has arked. Just move the wire back out of the way. and re install the outlet.

What is "tourmaline"? i just bought a hair dryer with that, but am not sure what it means

Tourmaline in hair apliances, is a gemstone that emits ions and helps reduce frizziness and flyaways that hairdryers normally cause. It also improves your hairs condition!

hope this helps!!

What is "tourmaline"? i just bought a hair dryer with that, but am not sure what it means or does when styling

it is a semi precious stone that lines the heating element of the dryer. It makes the air flow have less moisture. So that your hair will have a smoother look.

What is "tourmaline"? i just bought a hair dryer with that, but am not sure what it means or does when styling

gemstone

My Vidal Sassoon Fast Dry Professional Ion Select Turbo hair dryer just started randomly drying with

and i don't have my instruction book and i don't know how to fix it.

My Vidal Sassoon Fast Dry Professional Ion Select Turbo hair dryer just started randomly drying with cold air?

you need to buy a new one.

My Vidal Sassoon Fast Dry Professional Ion Select Turbo hair dryer just started randomly drying with cold air?

The heating element is probably blown, you can't fix it, just buy a new one:]

My Vidal Sassoon Fast Dry Professional Ion Select Turbo hair dryer just started randomly drying with cold air?

How long have you had it? Blowdryers have a heater in the back to send the air out warm, so it may just be broken.

Also, not to insult- but I've done this before, sadly- but if you have a cool-shot button or something, make sure it's not stuck pushed in!

Good luck!

Can you get heat stroke from overexposure to your hair dryer?

If your Blond then I think it's possible.....

Can you get heat stroke from overexposure to your hair dryer?

haha at the above response, because he's mocking blondes for being stupid, and yet makes one rather obvious grammatical error.

to answer your question: no.

Can you get heat stroke from overexposure to your hair dryer?

No not yourself, but your hair yes defiantly!!! especially dead ends, fryed hair, dried hair. your hair will go throe a heat stroke if you don't take care of it right. and once that happens it's hard to get your hair back healthy and strong (i don't have this problem) but I've seem girls who do. Just be careful what type of chemicals are going into your hair. get salon hair shampoo %26amp; conditioner there the best for styled hair.

Is it bad to dry your dog with a hair dryer?

(I have never done that) :)

Is it bad to dry your dog with a hair dryer?

My golden retriever loved having her fur dried with a dryer. Whenever I used it on myself she would hang out at my feet so I would blow it on her!

Just be careful not to make it too hot and don't use it too long in one place so you don't burn her. Also, don't get it in her face.

You'll find that most dogs will probably be scared of the thing. If that is the case don't force them.

Is it bad to dry your dog with a hair dryer?

no its a good thing

Is it bad to dry your dog with a hair dryer?

Most dogs freaking hate the noise, but I don't think it's necessarily bad for them. One downfall would be that when blowdrying you wouldn't know if it's getting too hot on their skin and could burn them.

I do it to my dog though, on the cool setting and she's fine for it. Except for the pitiful looks anyway

Is it bad to dry your dog with a hair dryer?

It would be far better to use a fur dryer.

Is it bad to dry your dog with a hair dryer?

yes

Is it bad to dry your dog with a hair dryer?

your doggy might not like the noise and freak out.

It's ok as long as you keep the air out of his eyes and ears.Don't put it up too hot either. Just respect the poor thing if he doesn't like the sound as there is a whiny sound that bugs animals.

Is it bad to dry your dog with a hair dryer?

no i do it all the time!

=)

Is it bad to dry your dog with a hair dryer?

I haven't done it either, but I don't see why not, as long as it's on a cool setting.lol

Is it bad to dry your dog with a hair dryer?

no, my mother does it for our dog and he loves the warm air after a bath

Is it bad to dry your dog with a hair dryer?

no, it's fine, just introduce it to your dog gently

because it's so loud.

Is it bad to dry your dog with a hair dryer?

its not bad - just dont leave the air blowing on one area so that it doesn't get hot on your dogs skin. also if they're freaking out from the noise or trying to get away... just get a towel to dry them adn let them be - no need to torture them

Is it bad to dry your dog with a hair dryer?

it's okay as long as you keep the moving the dryer, or you'll burn his skin.

Is it bad to dry your dog with a hair dryer?

Not so bad, just make sure you point the stream of air away from the dog's skin because of the risk of burining the dog, and keep it constantly moving.

More power and props to you if you can get your dog to stay still for the dryer! Most dogs are spooked at the loud sound.

Is it bad to dry your dog with a hair dryer?

No - it's not bad for them as long as it's not too hot. I think all groomers use some sort of blow dryer for grooming your dogs. My dog does not like the dryer but that is more because it scares her. If I'm using a blow dryer, I have to shut the bathroom door so she doesn't run away but most of the time - I just towel dry her.

Is it bad to dry your dog with a hair dryer?

well, if ya use it for urself, if it don't harm you. i don't think it'll harm the dog, but if ur dog doesn't like it don't do it. my dog likes it, but i know friends whose dogs don't like it and they stopped doing it. so, it depends on ur dog. well, but don't do like this stupid lady that i read about in the newspapers that put her dog in the microwave to dry it fast and killed it. omg, i hate this lady, so, don't do like her. kk, heheh. i hope i've helped.

Is it bad to dry your dog with a hair dryer?

Not at all. i have a Shih Tzu and he needs to be bathed every two weeks, he does not molt like some dogs do so he has plenty of brushing and grooming I always use a hair dryer if you find it dries the hair out too much you can use a spray and leave in conditioner for when you have finished drying.

Is it bad to dry your dog with a hair dryer?

That is a good queston my dog ace i dryed him with a hair dryer and after that he had REALLY bad dry skin. but you should go to a vet and see what they say!!!

Is it bad to dry your dog with a hair dryer?

No, it's perfectly fine.

How do you think dog groomers dry dogs?

Just make sure you keep a watch on the temperature setting.

Is it bad to dry your dog with a hair dryer?

It wont hurt the dog. Unless you bath and dry it's hair daily which is very bad for any dog. In the cold months it's better to make sure your dog is dry before they go outside.

Is it bad to dry your dog with a hair dryer?

no just as long as the air is not to hot. and it all depends on the dog. i have to towel dry one of mine because he does not like the noise it makes. also if you are drying it with a hair dryer dont keep it on the same part of the body for a long time as this will burn the dog.

Is it bad to dry your dog with a hair dryer?

I blow dry all 3 of my dogs. MAKE SURE IT ISN"T TOO HOT. They don't mind the noise, they are used to it, i started when they were young. It is a lot better than having them run around damp especially in the winter. My pug has a coat that takes hours to dry otherwise. I aim the air over my hand and "fluff" fur the whole time.

Is it bad to dry your dog with a hair dryer?

we do it to our dog, he likes it.

Is it bad to dry your dog with a hair dryer?

NO, thats what they do at dog groomers

Is it bad to dry your dog with a hair dryer?

It probable wouldn't hurt your dog but I know my dog is terrified of hairdryers.

Is it bad to dry your dog with a hair dryer?

No, but the dog will hate it.

Is it bad to dry your dog with a hair dryer?

No, I use a leaf blower on mine, loves it.

Infinity Hair Designer Blow Dryer by Conair?

Infinity Hair Designer Blow Dryer by Conair?

I just came to the conclusion that all conair products aren't good products. Every flat iron i got, either didn't get hot at all, or just broke after some time. If you want a good product, spend some extra money, and get you a product that you know will be worth it.

Dropped new Blackberry into swimming pool. Tried the hair dryer etc but its dead. Any ideas?

put a towel on top of a radiator and place the blackberry on top of the towel... it will absorb a lot of the heat and should dry your phone... give it about 4-5 hours for it to be completely DRY

Dropped new Blackberry into swimming pool. Tried the hair dryer etc but its dead. Any ideas?

The unit is more than likely dead, but in order to dry out you will want to let it try to try for 2-3 DAYS instead of several hours. You do want to have it on something warm, and it is recommended that you take it apart for the parts to completely dry. Check the following web site link:

What is the life expectancy on a hair dryer?

It really depends on the watts, the higher the watts, the longer it'll last.

When you go into a salon notice the stylist do not ever use no $10 Conair dryer. I work at a shop that I do maybe 20 haircuts a day and maybe dry 10-15 heads. I use a ANDIS professional dryer (probably $60-$100) This is a dryer that will last 6-10 yrs. and dry thousands of heads.

I have a Hot Tools dryer at home that I purchased from Sallys beauty Supply, I think I pd. $20 for it and I've had this dryer for probably 5 yrs. You don't need no $60-$100 dryer for home, but a $20-$30 one would be a wise investment. Think about it, if your $10 dryer is nolonger working after 3 mos. you are actually spending more $ going out and buying a new one every few mos. Pay $20-$30 and have you a dryer that will last you a good 5 or more yrs.

What is the life expectancy on a hair dryer?

if u use it everyday.. around one to two years.

What is the life expectancy on a hair dryer?

About one year. Then its lungs give out and dies. Good Luck ! :)

What is the life expectancy on a hair dryer?

They will burn out almost immediately if the intake vents are clogged up. Check them, and vacuum the lint/dust/dander out of the vent.

What is the life expectancy on a hair dryer?

your hair dryer is expecting??? hmm..i wonder who the father is....maybe the curling iron....or electric shaver....or it could be the hair straightener.....

j/k ;)

i dunno...i've had my hair dryer for 3 1/2 years and it is still working fine. :)

What is the life expectancy on a hair dryer?

If you are planning to kill someone under a hair dryer. I could suggest a few quicker ways. As to how long it might take, Well I'd have to guess that the brain would eventually cook in a couple of days on high temperature.

What is the life expectancy on a hair dryer?

I am a hairdresser a cheap Wal-mart blow dryer will last about 2 year. A little more expensive on from Sally's or a Beauty supply store should last about 4. It really depends on how much you use it. I have a Hot Tools blow dryer from Sally's and I use it several times aday. It has lasted 3 years so far.

What is the life expectancy on a hair dryer?

It depends on the frequency of your usage of hair dryer but I think it s worthless to think a lifetime of a hairdryer cause it ll work many years

What is the life expectancy on a hair dryer?

I have a hair dryer that my mom used. She passed away 5 years ago and mine isn't even on the fritz!! so i'd say a good 7 to 8 years!

Is it ok to take a set of hair dryer in the luggage when flying across the continents?

Yes. Like other heat products, blow dryer's can damage your hair. Although it will not damage it as much as using a straightener, you may want to just let your hair air dry on days when you won't be going out just to keep it healthy. And to tame those annoying little split ends that come up after drying? Just rub a frizz serum on your hair to help hide them.

Most people think the condition of their hair will be affected but with all the hair products out there, it is easy to protect the hair.

It is your hearing that suffer the most damage.

Hi

Any kind of heat can damage hair, (Breakage, Split ends), But there are products out there that can reduce damage.

In football (soccer), what does the phrase "hair dryer treatment" mean?

I hear it quite often and read it often too, but don't have a clue what it means. It's probably something really simple, but I can't figure it out!

In football (soccer), what does the phrase "hair dryer treatment" mean?

Sir Alex Ferguson is famed for his hair-dryer treatment, an up-close lecture generously given to underperforming players.

The "hairdryer treatment" name came from Mark Hughes, nickname: Sparky. Mark Hughes, former United striker and now Wales manager, said: "He would stand nose-to-nose with you and just shout and bawl, and you would end up with your hair behind your head." Mark Hughes gave the nickname to the fearsome decibel-busting rollickings dished out by the boss over his 20 years in charge at Manchester United.

Ferguson insisted: 閳ユ翻here are a lot of myths. One of the papers once claimed that I used to go behind the stand at East Stirlingshire and practise screaming. But there閳ユ獨 an element of truth in it. The hairdryer thing was started by Sparky, he owned up to it after he left. I can understand that because of my policy in the dressing room.閳?br>

Check out the links below for more details.

In football (soccer), what does the phrase "hair dryer treatment" mean?

I got the same question.

In football (soccer), what does the phrase "hair dryer treatment" mean?

It refers to a coach getting into a players face and chewing him out. I'm not sure where the term comes from. Check the link for a little more info.

Is it better ti ket ur hair dry naturally or use a hair dryer.. most help ful answer gets mi vote?

It's definetley healthier to let your hair dry naturally.

Is it better ti ket ur hair dry naturally or use a hair dryer.. most help ful answer gets mi vote?

it is definately better for your hair to dry naturally. using a hair dryer damages your hair!

Is it better ti ket ur hair dry naturally or use a hair dryer.. most help ful answer gets mi vote?

oh my gosh! Learn to spell.... Arg!

and by the way letting it dry naturally is better..

Is it better ti ket ur hair dry naturally or use a hair dryer.. most help ful answer gets mi vote?

Naturally. Blow dryers burn and damage your hair, ALWAYS. When you let it dry naturally, it is less prone to damage. However, its best not to brush it when wet.

Is it better ti ket ur hair dry naturally or use a hair dryer.. most help ful answer gets mi vote?

it's better to dry your hair naturally because the electricity from the hair dryer can burn and ruin your hair. plus when i use a hair dryer it always tangles my hair

Is it better ti ket ur hair dry naturally or use a hair dryer.. most help ful answer gets mi vote?

Blowdrying your hair can damage it if it is at a too high of a heat (just like a straightener can).

If you have it on medium power, and use a comb (not a brush) your hair will be fine.

A comb should be used becuase a brush ruins wet hair and splits the ends.

Is it better ti ket ur hair dry naturally or use a hair dryer.. most help ful answer gets mi vote?

When I have the time, I like to dry my hair naturally because it makes my hair so much softer.

Is it better ti ket ur hair dry naturally or use a hair dryer.. most help ful answer gets mi vote?

For sure to let it dry naturally, using the hair dryer dries your hair quicker but also dries out your hair which letting it dry naturally will not do. If you like to use a blow dryer, use a good heat activated moisturizer before drying and try to not use it every day, that will keep your hair more healthy.

Is it better ti ket ur hair dry naturally or use a hair dryer.. most help ful answer gets mi vote?

naturally of course. dryers open the hair shafts and make the hair loose shine and natural moisture. i NEVER dry my hair with dryers. i've got hair down near my waist line and everybody wants to know my secret. even though it's highlighted, its healthy as hell 'cuz i don't blow. lol

Is it better ti ket ur hair dry naturally or use a hair dryer.. most help ful answer gets mi vote?

Letting It Dry Naturally Is Always Best. But If You Need To Blow Dry It Always Spray It With A Protective Spray So That Your Hair Doesnt Get Burnt. Also Dont Brush Your Hair When Wet, Use Your Fingers, It Helps So That Your Hair Doesnt Break.

Is it better ti ket ur hair dry naturally or use a hair dryer.. most help ful answer gets mi vote?

dry naturally. the more you use the dryer, your hair is not thanking you. if you use it every day you will notice your hair getting maybe dead looking, crinkled, and a lot of riped hair. when you dry hair it is like putting hair in a pot of boiled water and doing it ever day. or putting your hair in 150 degree weather every day.

use it as least a possible.

Is it better ti ket ur hair dry naturally or use a hair dryer.. most help ful answer gets mi vote?

most def. let it dry natural, (using a towel). this is because when u use anything that you hav 2 plug into the wall u r puting heat to ur head n 2 much heat damages ur hair, but u can buy spray for ur hair 4 b4 u use n'e type of heat. (c.v.s, rite aid, superfresh, etc...)

Has ANYONE USED THE CHI TURBO HAIR DRYER?

yes

i have used

Has ANYONE USED THE CHI TURBO HAIR DRYER?

Yes I have 2. One at my salon and the other at my home. I love them both. I never knew what a good dryer was until I purchased these. I would never be without one. Thanks

Has ANYONE USED THE CHI TURBO HAIR DRYER?

yes! and i absolutley love it!.. the only down fall is... its really heavy.. so if you have hard to dry hair your arm will get tired fast.. but its a very good blow dryer and VERY worth the pain! :) it is probably one of the best things i have ever purchased for my hair besides the CHI flat iron..

Has ANYONE USED THE CHI TURBO HAIR DRYER?

no but i heard the chi turbos have many flaws and break sooner then they should

How long do you sit under a hair dryer for a roller wrap?

Depends on length of hair. 30 mins to 1 hr.

How long do you sit under a hair dryer for a roller wrap?

I stay in there for as long as the hair dresser tells me.

What's the cool button on a hair dryer for exactly?

it makes the air that is blowing out cool or cold not hot or warm! 閳?br>What's the cool button on a hair dryer for exactly?

You hold it so you could get cold hair instead of hot. because the heat sometimes damages your hair

What's the cool button on a hair dryer for exactly?

On my hairdryer, when a red light pops up, I use the cool button to prevent my hair dryer from burning out.

What's the cool button on a hair dryer for exactly?

its soooo much better for your hair..... heat damages. i prefer the cool setting...dosent work as fast but your hair will look better

What's the cool button on a hair dryer for exactly?

for a hairstyle like Fonzie - cool !!

What's the cool button on a hair dryer for exactly?

if you just want to 'set' your style its good to use the cool setting after your done shaping curling whatever.

What's the cool button on a hair dryer for exactly?

Sometimes the heat setting is just too hot for your head - there are times if you are styling with the hair dryer you have to hold it close to your scalp and it would really be too hot if on the hot setting..

Another use for the cool setting is if you are drying a pet like a dog - the hot is just too hot for their skin so you need the cool setting

What's the cool button on a hair dryer for exactly?

when you are drying your hair you are heating up the hydrogen bond and breaking them which allows you to dry your hair into a new shape. when you have the desired result you use the cool down button to make sure the hydrogen bonds reform into their new formation allowing the style to stay in place for longer.

Just don't forget to use hair spray to make it last.

What's the cool button on a hair dryer for exactly?

Its to hold the style in place...... for example if you curl your hair and then blow dry it with the cool button its supposed to help hold the curls........ i always wondered that to so i asked my hair stylist....... hope that helps

What's the cool button on a hair dryer for exactly?

I always use the cool setting! it's to prevent frizz. When i'm done with my shower, i blast it on cool focusing on my roots aiming down. After that I use it on heat to try the rest.

What's the cool button on a hair dryer for exactly?

i use it to make the icing dry faster when i make a gingerbread house...unconventional, but works great!!!

What's the cool button on a hair dryer for exactly?

Once my hair is nearly dry, i switch to the cool setting because it makes my hair look shinier :)!

What's the cool button on a hair dryer for exactly?

the blue 1 get it blue=chilly color non warm color=icey looking stuff snowflakes u no what never mind u should get it by now

What's the cool button on a hair dryer for exactly?

Apparently it sets your hair in position at the end.

I dont know how that works, I just like it because it refreshes my

head. :)

Anyone know where I can get a hair dryer fixed?? the fan has?

disconnected inside, i cant open it up so is there anywhere I can take it other than the manufacturers, i live in the north east, hope someone can help, thank you

Anyone know where I can get a hair dryer fixed?? the fan has?

Try a small appliance repair shop. But it will probably cost you more to fix it ( if it can be fixed) than to buy a new one.

Can I melt embossing powder with hair dryer?

If can't, what should I use?(But I don't have heat tool.)

Can I melt embossing powder with hair dryer?

So, sorry they're not hot enough. Special embossing heaters are the only option unless you can be clever with a blow torch (maybe on that is used for creme brulee?) Good luck and be careful!!

How much current does a 1600-watt hair dryer draw and how much resistance does it have?

Kind of depends on what country you are in now doesn't it? We need to know the voltage.

power = voltage(current)

resistance=voltage虏/power

Is there any side effects for using hair dryer daily?

yes its really damaging to your hair, dries it out, makes it frizzy and brittle.... if you MUST dry your hair all the way, use a cold setting for the drying... and if you can, just dry your hair for like 30 seconds upside down to add volume, and then let the rest air dry...

Is there any side effects for using hair dryer daily?

Large electricity bills.

Is there any side effects for using hair dryer daily?

yea, it can fry your hair.

Is there any side effects for using hair dryer daily?

uhh yea this magical think called breakage! duh!

Is there any side effects for using hair dryer daily?

Brakedge, hair fall out.

Is there any side effects for using hair dryer daily?

Apart from big electricty bill, it can damage your hair with too much heat. use some hair protection cream/spray.

Is there any side effects for using hair dryer daily?

Yeah it can dry out your hair and over time this can kill the roots of your hair. Many people ho blow dry their hair for years have really thin hair when they are older, and their hair begins to fall out when they are only in their 30's or forties. I don't think you should do it. Just towel dry it. That won't cause any damage.

Is there any side effects for using hair dryer daily?

Not if it's not too hot, otherwise it will dry out your hair/

Is there any side effects for using hair dryer daily?

Boldness

Is there any side effects for using hair dryer daily?

Sure, depending on what type of hair you have also. But if your washing and blow drying every single day without protecting your hair, eventually it is just going to dry out, get frizzy and look and feel bad.

Is there any side effects for using hair dryer daily?

you would need to use heat protection as it will leave your hair very dry and brittle.

Is there any side effects for using hair dryer daily?

Your hair gets really hot...?

Actually it can break and dry out i think...yeah...

Is there any side effects for using hair dryer daily?

Global warming, if you get your electricity from a coal fired power station.

Is there any side effects for using hair dryer daily?

no...you may overdry your hair but nothing else.............

Hey there,

I know there is for mobiles, make-up, laptops etc....

but not sure about hairdryers but I'm sure probably not ( if u use a cool heat )..... hope that helped, sorry.

Is there any side effects for using hair dryer daily?

Is there any side effects for using hair dryer daily?

dry hair and split ends, these are the side effects of using hair dryer DAILY.

Is there any side effects for using hair dryer daily?

DAMAGE. BILL. but i think its fine....i mean my friend does it...and as long as she used like spray on heat protectiong..its fine

Is there any side effects for using hair dryer daily?

1.Large electricity bills

2.Bad for air just towel dry it..people try to be natural as possible when possible.I know you need to use the hair dryer sometimes but not everyday i bet.

3. It makes hair dry(too dry)

4.Just doesnt sound right

Is there any side effects for using hair dryer daily?

Yes there is a side of effect of using a hair dryer daily. The most serious side effects of using an hair dryer regularly is hearing loss.

Most people think the condition of their hair will be affected but with all the hair products out there, it is easy to protect the hair.

It is your hearing that suffer the most damage.

Invest in a hair dryer that is as quiet as possible and hold it a good distance from your ears.

Hair conditioners and other styling products are just common sense.

Is there any side effects for using hair dryer daily?

If you use it everyday it will dry out your hair. Use lot's of conditioner and hair moisturizer to make up for drying it out.

Is there any side effects for using hair dryer daily?

It can dry your hair out. You can try an after-conditioner or some oils to help with that. I use Paul Mitchell's Super Skinny Serum. It'll keep your hair soft.

Is there any side effects for using hair dryer daily?

If you use a hand-held hair dryer, use a low heat setting to avoid burns to your scalp which could be a side effect of hair dryer. Use heat protecting styling products.

Is there any side effects for using hair dryer daily?

it can make it go dry and fuzzy but i use my hair dryer and straigtners every day you just have to use hot oils onces a week and a hair care and repair leave in cream

Is there any side effects for using hair dryer daily?

It can dry hair but you can buy products to protect your hair during drying

Is there any side effects for using hair dryer daily?

any excessive heat source will dry your hair out and may lead to split ends (or worse) and this includes the sun

Is there any side effects for using hair dryer daily?

yes it fries your hair and that is the same with curling/straitning irons

Is there any side effects for using hair dryer daily?

i blow dry EVERY day but i always use a great moisturizing conditioner in the shower (my fave is Bed Head Moisture Maniac or even Fructise Long and Strong) and then a great leave in conditioner (Bed Hear Ego Boost -- leaves my hair moisturized yet bouncy) and about 4 months ago, i got one of those tourmaline dryers (i got a Revlon one) and it REALLY is gentler on my hair! in fact, i get asked all the time how i keep my long hair so healthy!

Hi

Any kind of heat can damage hair, (Breakage, Split ends), But there are products out there that can reduce damage.

Can I heat tile grout (with a hair-dryer or fan-heater) to speed up the drying process?

I'm re-tiling a shower but it is frequently used by others and I can't leave it for 3-4 days as recommended on the grout instructions. I tested this on 1 panel and it seemed to work, but some people have said this isn't a good idea and should dry naturally? Anyone have experience of this? Thanks

Can I heat tile grout (with a hair-dryer or fan-heater) to speed up the drying process?

It will dry to quick and crack.

Can I heat tile grout (with a hair-dryer or fan-heater) to speed up the drying process?

forcing the grout to odry increases the probability that it will crack and loosen, While the grout made be dry you are not allowing time for the grout to cure and get good adhesion to the tile.

Can I heat tile grout (with a hair-dryer or fan-heater) to speed up the drying process?

Definitely not, it will crack and fall out and then you will have loads ff fun trying to do a repair which never quite works, try to arrange for the job to be done when most of your friends are away or have agreed on a date to not take a shower.

Can I heat tile grout (with a hair-dryer or fan-heater) to speed up the drying process?

Definitely let it dry naturally, though keeping the room reasonably warm at this time of year will help.

The others will just have to co-operate. Buy them a watering can, and tell them to stand in the bath!

Can I heat tile grout (with a hair-dryer or fan-heater) to speed up the drying process?

Not a good idea....as others have said it will crack.Drying with a hair dryer will only really dry the surface....As a matter of interest how big is the gap between the tiles??? 3 days to dry ???Normally only 24 hours max.Are you using ready mixed grout or powder that you mix? I have found that the latter is much easier to use and sets much more quickly. The premixed "fix and grout" contains both adhesive and grout. It is much thicker and hard to use. Also if you let it dry on the tiles it is a pain to get off.Clean it off immediately with a wet sponge.

Can I heat tile grout (with a hair-dryer or fan-heater) to speed up the drying process?

If you don't let the grout cure and try to force the drying with a heater, you will end up with a weakened grout that will fail much more quickly. It would probably be better to go ahead and use the shower after the grout has cured enough that it is solid than to use heat to dry it out.

Can I heat tile grout (with a hair-dryer or fan-heater) to speed up the drying process?

short answer no the grout will crack

If you were to put a running hair dryer, toaster, ect, whatever in the ocean, would it kill everythi

Besides killing yourself in the processes, would you see dead fish, whales, ect floating at the top? (the tought just came to me....)

If you were to put a running hair dryer, toaster, ect, whatever in the ocean, would it kill everything in it?

no because the curcit(or watever) would blow and the power on it would be turned off.but if it wouldnt, it would take a very long time(maybe a month)for it to reach around the world.

If you were to put a running hair dryer, toaster, ect, whatever in the ocean, would it kill everything in it?

yep. Its only a matter of time before all sea life is gone!!!!

If you were to put a running hair dryer, toaster, ect, whatever in the ocean, would it kill everything in it?

You would need a very long extension cord to reach that far !

But why would you want to do this anyhow ?

If you were to put a running hair dryer, toaster, ect, whatever in the ocean, would it kill everything in it?

NO! It might kill you. But the short caused by the electricity will blow the fuse within seconds!! Not hours!!

If you were to put a running hair dryer, toaster, ect, whatever in the ocean, would it kill everything in it?

probably not......

If you were to put a running hair dryer, toaster, ect, whatever in the ocean, would it kill everything in it?

I sure hope not.

If you were to put a running hair dryer, toaster, ect, whatever in the ocean, would it kill everything in it?

No way. i just wanna throw dis out " are you planning to kill all the fishes?" I hope not

If you were to put a running hair dryer, toaster, ect, whatever in the ocean, would it kill everything in it?

well,I think it would kill everything inside it.This is because water is a good electric conductor.I feel that even i toaster would be enough to kill the whole marine life in the ocean. But i do hope no one would dare to try it :0

go to Sally's or Sally's.com they have great staff that can help you find the best brand for what u need.

Where can I get a good quality hair dryer and curling iron/rollers?

I like Sally's because if you keep your receipt, you can take appliances back for a refund or exchange if they don't perform. And you don't have to be a licensed stylist to buy things there.

The brand depends on what's in your price range. With Sally's return policy, you can try one %26amp; if it's not what it's hyped up to be, just take it back %26amp; get a different one.
