A hair dryer, although convenient, is not good for your hair if it's longterm health is a priority. And towel drying the typical way (rubbing vigorously with a towel) can also damage your hair. Blotting with a towel however is fine.

Natural is the least damaging way.

Towel drying can actually be the most damaging because it will shread the ends. I am talking about rubbing your hair with the towel, not just wrapping it in the towel while it dries. That would not be damaging at all, but your hair may not look good when you unwrap it.

Hair dryers are not necessarily damaging if you don't turn the heat up too high, and they let you style your hair better than just letting it dry naturally. That is why I prefer to use the hair dryer.

I say a towel and natural is the way to go! A hair blow dryer will just fry your hair!

If you don't care towel drying or air drying is best. I have naturally wavy hair so a lot of times I let it air dry to bring out the wave. If I blow dry it goes away.

If you don't really need your hair dried quickly or it doesn't matter what your hair looks like air drying is the best. Hair dryers do dry out your hair so you should use this as little as possible,

I usually towel dry my hair and then let it air dry. If you don't need to put heat on your hair, don't. I usually straighten out my hair with a straightening iron, so blow drying it too would cause major damage.
