It really depends on the watts, the higher the watts, the longer it'll last.

When you go into a salon notice the stylist do not ever use no $10 Conair dryer. I work at a shop that I do maybe 20 haircuts a day and maybe dry 10-15 heads. I use a ANDIS professional dryer (probably $60-$100) This is a dryer that will last 6-10 yrs. and dry thousands of heads.

I have a Hot Tools dryer at home that I purchased from Sallys beauty Supply, I think I pd. $20 for it and I've had this dryer for probably 5 yrs. You don't need no $60-$100 dryer for home, but a $20-$30 one would be a wise investment. Think about it, if your $10 dryer is nolonger working after 3 mos. you are actually spending more $ going out and buying a new one every few mos. Pay $20-$30 and have you a dryer that will last you a good 5 or more yrs.
