Is it possible to reseal shrink wrap with a hair dryer?

I bought an expensive book, then found it way cheaper online. I needed to open the shrink wrap to read for an assignment...but I also want full refund. I was very careful with the shrink wrap and still have it. Is there a way to reseal it??

Unfortunately, it is not possible to reseal your item using the original shrink wrap. However, your local crafts store or mass merchandiser with a crafts department may carry specialised shrink wrap that can be used with an ordinary hair dryer.

I have seen and used bag-style "hair dryer" shrink wrap in small, medium, and large sizes ranging from $2 to $5. These wraps also come in rolls for about $6.

The only draw back to utilising this method over the commercial shrink wrapping system, which costs quite a bit, is "hair dryer" shrink wrap may not be as thick as your original shrink wrap you're attempting to replace.

I hope this information helps.

That's terrific! Do you know if this service is available at all Home Depots or just your local one? Report It

You'd have to get more shrink wrap and re-package it. With shrink-wrap, once it's heated, that's it. Can you borrow someone else's book for this assignment, and return the book intact?

um i don't think you can unless there is some way you can melt it together but make it unnoticable. you couldbuy a shrink wrap machine but you would be better of keeping the book fo that price. a machine would cost about $200-$500
