any type of frizz serum or cream will usually work. I prefer John Frieda. To prevent as much damage, i let my hair air dry about 3/4. Then i blow dry the damp hair straight hair to minimize the damage of the blow dryer. (I also straighten it, so the trick helps.)

2 steps...

1) Try getting an ION hairdryer.. it uses ions instead of using heat which can cause more damage.

2) Don't blow dry your hair when it's really wet. Let it air-dry for a couple of minutes and then style.

Also, in my expierience, I'll put the some of the curling product in my hair and scrunch it while I blow dry for about a minute or two, that's my hair though.
